Property Income and Expense Return

Overview

The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation’s (MPAC) role is to accurately assess and classify all properties in Ontario in accordance with the Assessment Act and regulations established by the Ontario Government.

In 2016, MPAC made improvements to how we collect rental, income and expense information by launching the Property Income and Expense Return available through aboutmyproperty.ca. This online tool provides a convenient, efficient and accurate way for property owners to submit their information, while allowing MPAC to capture the key data required to deliver accurate and consistent assessments.

In 2018, we are expanding the Property Income and Expense Return program to enable more property owners to submit their property information to MPAC online. Visit the Frequently Asked Questions page for more information.
