Island Access

Property on island. Accessed only by water.

No Access - Landlocked

Parcel of land without access to any type of road, highway, navigable body of water, or right-of-way access.

Private Road Access Only

Seasonal or year-round private thoroughfare providing access for traffic. Held under private ownership. Not maintained by a city, town, region, or the Province of Ontario.

Right-of-Way Access Only

Property can only be accessed by right-of-way. Usually registered easement over someone else's land.

Summer or Seasonal Access Only

Public thoroughfare providing access for traffic. Seasonally maintained, and under  jurisdiction of a city, town, region, or the Province of Ontario. Could also include zoning restrictions that limit year-round use.

Water Access Only

Regardless of time of year, this lot may be accessed only from navigable body of water. Applies to both mainland and island properties.

Year-round Road Access

Public thoroughfare providing access for vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Assumed and maintained year-round under the jurisdiction of a city, town, region, or the Province of Ontario. Most common type of road access.
