MPAC Land Acknowledgement

At the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC), we acknowledge that our work takes place on the traditional territories of many Indigenous Nations across Ontario. Our head office in Pickering is situated on the territory of the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation and other signatories to the Williams Treaties. 

We honour the deep and ongoing connections Indigenous Peoples maintain with these territories. MPAC is committed to advancing reconciliation by aligning our actions with the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action, particularly those focused on publicly funded institutions. 

We are embedding reconciliation into our policies and practices with humility and accountability, so that this work endures with the wellbeing of the next seven generations in mind.
